Ben’s Sudoku is developed by Ben Desprets. This page explains how the app works with your data and how to contact me.

Your game stays on your device

The app works offline and does not require an account. It has no advertising, tracking or in-app analytics SDKs. It does not send your puzzles, moves, settings or statistics to a developer-operated server.

Saved puzzles, pencilmarks, move history, elapsed time, settings and completion statistics are stored in the app’s local storage. The app keeps a recovery copy of a readable save and may preserve unreadable saves rather than silently overwrite them. There is no developer-operated cloud sync.

Keeping and removing local data

Local data remains in the app’s storage until it is replaced or removed. Restarting a puzzle is not the same as deleting all settings, statistics or recovery copies. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading the app can preserve it.

Your device or computer backups may contain app data. Backup retention and deletion depend on your Apple and device settings, and are separate from the app’s local storage.

Apple and TestFlight

If you use a TestFlight version, Apple may provide the developer with crash reports, usage information and feedback through TestFlight. Other diagnostics may depend on your Apple platform settings. This is separate from in-app analytics, which Ben’s Sudoku does not include.

If you email support, I receive your email address and the information you choose to send so I can respond. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to explain your question. Contact me for questions about support correspondence, its retention, or to request deletion.

This website

This website contains no analytics or advertising scripts added by me. Its hosting infrastructure processes website requests to deliver the page. Following an external link or using your email service is subject to that service’s own privacy practices.
